Florida Atlantic Joins Top of the Standings after Double Overtime Classic versus JU

Rodney Webb and Deandre Rice combined for 54 points to lead Florida Atlantic to a double overtime victory over Jacksonville in a Sunday matinee.
With the 107-104 win, FAU joins Campbell and Kennesaw State atop the A-Sun standings with 2-0 records after the opening weekend of play. Six of the league's first 10games have been decided by three points or less with a pair of thrilling overtime victories.Jacksonville trailed by as many as 10 points in the second half before storming back to force overtime. Both teams failed to convert on possessions in the final minute of regulations with the score tied. FAU's Brent Crews buried a jumper with four seconds left to force a second overtime. Both teams led in the second extra sesson, and Deandre Rice scored the final of his 29 points with a free throw late. Jacksonville's Aubrey Conerly missed a three-pointer at the buzzer that would of tied the game.
