Lipscomb Sweeps Battle of the Boulevard

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trey Williams scored 16 points and sparked a second-half rally to lead Lipscomb to a 70-60 win Friday night over Belmont in the A-Sun/CSS Game of the Week. WIth the win, the Bisons sweep the regular season Battle of the Boulevard from the Bruins.
Host Lipscomb (15-10, 9-5 Atlantic Sun) went on a 17-1 run in the second half, turning a one-point lead into a 58-41 advantage with 5:05 left. Williams scored seven of the 17 points.
Belmont (16-9, 10-4 A-Sun) led 33-31 at the half, and its last lead was 39-37 with 12:30 left.
Brian Fisk added 15 points for Lipscomb and Eddie Ard also had 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Belmont, which shot just 35 percent, had only one player in double figures, Andy Wicke with 17. The Bruins missed 23 of their first 25 second-half field goals.
A year ago, Belmont advanced to the NCAA tournament with a win over Lipscomb in the conference tourney championship game.
