Mercer's Hall Accepts CP3 Elite Guard Camp Invitation

MACON, Ga. – Mercer rising junior Langston Hall's emergence as one of the nation's premier guards was recently validated with an invitation to NBA All-Star Chris Paul's Elite Guard Camp, set for June 8-11 in Winston-Salem, N.C. The invitation-only camp is reserved for top high school and collegiate point guards from across the country and features a who's-who roster of instructors.

Former participants include current NBA players Kawhi Leonard (San Antonio Spurs), Nolan Smith (Portland Trail Blazers), Isaiah Thomas (Sacramento Kings), Kemba Walker (Charlotte Bobcats), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors) and Greivis Vasquez (New Orleans Hornets).

Last year's college roster was made up of 17 players from 13 schools (Bucknell, North Carolina, Memphis, Florida, NC State, VCU, Wake Forest, Duke, Northwestern, Missouri, Syracuse, Louisville, Wisconsin). The complete college roster for the 2012 camp has yet to be released.

Paul spent two seasons at Wake Forest University before being selected fourth overall in the 2005 NBA Draft. As a professional, Paul earned the league's 2006 Rookie of the Year award and has since been named an All-Star five times. At the 2010 Beijing Olympics, Paul was part of the United States team that captured the Gold Medal.
