Baseball Players Continue to Rack Up Awards

MACON, Ga. - Several A-Sun baseball players continue to earn postseasaon honors landing on the Ping!Baseball and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings teams for success throughout the year.
Five Atlantic Sun players earned spots on the ABCA All-South Region squad. Catcher Jeremy Gillan of Jacksonville, outfielder Jeremy Cruz of Stetson and DH Zach Maxfield of FGCU were named to the first-team. Campbell's Ellis Lowe joins the second unit with right-handed pitcher Chad Jenkins of Kennesaw State.
Gillan earned Third Team All Ping!Baseball honors for catcher while fellow A-Sun athlete Paul Hoilman of ETSU landed an honorable mention at first base. A-Sun Player of the Year Jeremy Cruz and A-Sun Pitcher of the Year Chad Jenkins also landed third team spots for outfield and pitcher, respectively. Lipscomb's Rex Brothers joins Jenkins on the third team.
Freshman of the Year Dylan Craig and fellow classmates ETSU's Bo Reeder and Stetson's Mark Jones garnered spots on the All-Freshmen Third Team for their respective positions
