Brewers Take Heckathorn with the 47th pick of MLB Draft

SECAUCUS, N.J. - Kennesaw State's Kyle Heckathorn became the A-Sun's third draft choice of the Major League Baseball's 2009 First-Year Player Draft when Milwaukee picked the junior with the 47th pick of the draft.
In 2009, Heckathorn, compiled a 4-1 record with a 3.44 ERA. He struck out 98 batters in only 92.0 inning. earned a spot on the All-Atlantic Sun's Second Team.
The Ringgold, Ga., native joins his teammate Chad Jenkins as the first pair of A-Sun teammates picked inside the top 50. Previously, UCF Justin Pope and Jason Arnold were the highest set of A-Sun teammates picked in the same draft. St. Louis picked Pope with 28th pick while the Yankees grabbed Arnold with the 63rd selection.
The Brewers selected another pitcher, Eric Arnett, from Indiana, with their first-round selection .
