Bright House to Air A-Sun Championship Play

MACON, Ga. - On Thursday, the Atlantic Sun Conference and Bright House Sports Network announced that the channel will broadcast the final game from the opening day of play at next week’s 2009 Atlantic Sun Baseball Championships.

The game, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, will air tape delayed beginning an hour later. It will feature a local flair as the host Stetson Hatters take on a to-be-determined opponent from Melching Field. With the final weekend of conference play beginning tonight, the Hatters could face any of five potential opponents among Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Lipscomb or Mercer. Only Jacksonville, who secured the top seed on Monday, could not face Stetson in the primetime broadcast.

"We are excited to have BrightHouse as a partner,” said John Zarzycki, president of Rights Marketing Group LLC, exclusive marketing partner of the A-Sun. “The expanded distribution we gain in some of our key Florida markets, presents an opportunity to bring the conference to more A-Sun followers as well as those looking to watch college baseball at it's highest level of competition"

Fans outside of the Central Florida markets can catch this game, as well as every game from the 2009 Atlantic Sun Championships on ASun.TV. Action begins on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Matchups and times will be determined after regular-season play concludes this weekend.
