MACON, Ga. – Kennesaw State moved above the .500 mark on the season and dealt a severe blow to Campbell’s Atlantic Sun Baseball Championship hopes by sweeping the Camels led by the hitting of Jacob Robbins and the pitching of Chad Jenkins. The pair of Owls became the third set of teammates to earn both the Atlantic Sun Conference’s Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week awards in the same week, the conference office announced on Monday. It marked the second straight week that teammates won both awards, following Campbell’s Brandon Scott and Justin Lilly.

Robbins, a junior second baseman and outfielder went 10-for-21 at the plate for the week, good for a .476 batting average. In addition, he drew three walks to post an on-base percentage of .520 for the week, and raised his season percentage to .493. In the series sweep of the Camels, the management major from Calhoun, Ga., collected seven hits in 11 at bats a .636 clip, along with an on-base percentage of .667. Hit safely in all five games during the week, including multiple hits in the last four contests.

The sophomore Jenkins went the distance in a 5-3 victory against Campbell. He surrendered two earned runs on five hits with one walk and eight strikeouts. Jenkins needed just 94 pitches to throw his second complete game against an A-Sun opponent. The accounting major from Canton, Ga. joined six other A-Sun hurlers to register multiple complete games. Opposing hitters hit a mere .167 against Jenkins in the contest.

Carlo Testa, BEL (Jr. – OF – Tallmadge, Ohio – Exercise Science) Homered and earned win vs USC Upstate; Went 2-4 in game two of doubleheader with four RBI.

Kyle Tognazzini, LIP (Jr. – RHP – Paso Rables, Calif. – Oral Communications) Picked up two wins in relief against ETSU; Struck out 5 in 3.2 innings; Improved record to 6-0.

Nate Woods, BEL (Fr. – RHP – Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Business Administration) Pitched seven innings and tied a career-high with five strikeouts in 4-1 victory vs USC Upstate.
