MACON, Ga. – Belmont’s Derek Wiley broke the school’s career home run record and Campbell’s Justin Lilly became the first Camel pitcher to fan at least 10 hitters in a game over a year as the pair earned the Atlantic Sun’s Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week awards, the conference office announced on Monday.

Wiley, a junior business administration major, set Belmont’s home run record with 34 after hitting four on the week, all in the Bruins’ weekend sweep of Stetson. The Dublin, Calif. native went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a walk, two home runs and a then-career-high five RBI in Belmont's 13-6 win over Stetson in game one of the series. In game two, Wiley went 2-for-4 with a home run (to break the record) with two RBI and scored three times in Belmont's 11-5 win. In the series wrap-up, a 14-3 win, he went 3-for-4 at the plate including a grand slam en route to a career-high six RBI in the as the Bruins completed their first-ever sweep over the Hatters. He drove in 13 runs during the series while Stetson scored a total of 14. Wiley broke the home run record previous held by former teammate Wilson Tucker. Tucker hit 32 home runs from 2004-07.

Lilly dominated in his performance on against Jacksonville. The senior led the Camels to a 3-1 win against the Dolphins, on the heels of his 143-pitch complete game, the Camels’ first complete game of the season. Lilly scattered just five hits and fanned 10 JU batters and allowed just one run and walked just one hitter. He became the first Camel pitcher to strike out 10 batters in a game since Blake Herring fanned 12 Holy Cross hitters on March 6, 2007. His complete game was also the first from a Campbell hurler since April 28, 2007 when Herring went the distance on April 28, 2007 against Gardner-Webb.
