Melching
Field at Conrad Park
One of the most picturesque, fan-friendly stadiums in the nation, Melching Field at Conrad Park will host the Atlantic Sun Championship for the seventh consecutive season. At a cost of $4.5 million, Melching Field was the result of a joint effort between Stetson University, DeLand Sports Redevelopment Association and the City of DeLand. Built on the same site as old Conrad Park, Melching Field opened on Feb. 12, 1999 as the Hatters defeated Louisville 4-3 before an overflow crowd of 2,874 fans. Hatter fans have flocked to Melching Field in record numbers. With over 200,000 fans since the stadium opened in 1999, Stetson is often ranked nationally among college baseball attendance leaders. Melching Field features permanent seating for 2,500 spectators with grass berms holding approximately 500 additional fans. Full-service concessions stands greet visitors upon their entrance to the park on Woodland Boulevard. The stadium is completely handicapped accessible and features excellent site lines from anywhere in the grandstand.

Take Exit 114, State Road 472. Travel west (left) to the exit ramp. Go north (right) on Highway 17/92 (Woodland Blvd). Travel through downtown DeLand. Melching Field is located on the right-hand side of the road at the corner of Woodland Blvd and Alabama Ave. From I-95/Daytona Beach Take exit 261 and head west on Highway 92/International Speedway Blvd. Travel approximately 15 miles into DeLand. Take a left on Woodland Blvd (Highway 17/92). Melching Field is located on the left-hand side of the road at the corner of Woodland Blvd and Alabama Ave. From Miami Take I-95 north to State Road 44 (DeLand/New Smyrna exit). Go west approximately 23 miles to DeLand. Take right on Woodland Blvd (Highway 17/92). Melching Field is located on the left-hand side of the road at the corner of Woodland Blvd and Alabama Ave.

Credentials
Media planning to cover the event should request credentials through the host institution by contacting Stetson Sports Information Director Dean Watson (dwatson@stetson.edu) at 386-822-8130. Information A game program featuring rosters and results for each participating team will be available as well as statistical packets with final regular season stats in addition to updated tournament and overall statistics daily during the championship. Filing a Story All media members wishing to file a story will be provided with high-speed wireless internet access and work space in the Press Box.
