MACON, Ga. – Campbell long jumper Sam Tilly notched his second Atlantic Sun Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week award after improving his regional qualifying mark in the event, the conference announced on Wednesday.
The Port Charlotte, Fla. native competed in the prestigious Arkansas Twilight, where he finished second in the long jump with a bound of 24-07.00 (7.49m). The mark by Tilly bettered his season-best and regional qualifying mark of 24-04.50 (7.43m) that he set at the Tony Waldrop Invitational earlier in the season.
Tilly's second Athlete of the Week honor is Campbell’s third of the season. Both are highs in the A-Sun this season.
